| This view in August 2000 show the clearance work done for the topographical survey. Until all the paperwork has been completed, serious clearance work cannot start. |

| On 24th February 2001, work finally started on clearance on the extension.
|

| Basic clearance of vegetation has now been completed on this section, however there is still a lot of work to be done on clearance of scrap, and the formation of a footpath.

| Between March, and the end of July, we were not able to access any of this section, due to the Foot & Mouth Crisis. During this time, much of the cleared ground grew over again..... | ||

| All the Japanese Knotweed has now been delt with. This will be repeatedly treated until it eventually dies. |

| Out of the middle of the Knotweed, we find the Cynfal Electric Cabinet. Planted here in the late 1980's, to be the electric supply for Pen-Y-Mount Station. |
